Tom Locke

Head of Design Principal Specialist Auckland

Tom is a Principal and Senior Architect at Warren and Mahoney and leads the Bridges + Infrastructure sector. Prior to joining Warren and Mahoney he held positions at a number of practices in New York and London including a three year period at Zaha Hadid Architects in London.

Since joining Warren and Mahoney, Tom has has been involved in a wide range of commercial, residential and infrastructure projects including as project architect for Waterview Connection, 10 Madden Street and the Daniell Building for Fisher & Paykel Healthcare.

In addition to his work with Warren and Mahoney, Tom has been involved with tutoring and lecturing in architectural design at the University of Auckland School of Architecture and he currently represents the Auckland branch of the NZIA on the Tamaki Makaurau Design Alliance.

Tom is strongly committed to delivering projects which positively contribute to the wider quality of the urban fabric, seeking outcomes which address the climate crisis and provide a more sustainable and resilient future for our cities. His passion lies in working at the confluence of landscape, architecture and engineering to deliver work which not only reflects the history and culture of our communities but also their aspirations.

In 2021, Tom was appointed co-Head of Design within Warren and Mahoney's Auckland studio.
