The Role:

We seek the fresh, valuable perspective of a creative, emerging interior designer to join our Queenstown or Christchurch studio. You will work alongside established design leaders who will encourage and support you to develop your craft and give you room to make an impact. Your ability and drive to learn, innovate and deliver will be honed through access to high-quality projects with ambitious clients.

You will have a passion for and strength in design and project delivery with 3+ years’ experience in medium to large scale projects.

You will be responsible for:
  • Working collaboratively with your team across all project phases from briefing, space planning, concept, through to documentation and delivery.
  • Developing conceptual design thinking around the developing schemes and representing those ideas through sketches, visualisations and materiality.
  • Preparing developed design and documentation, working through design options and detailing Revit drawings and schedules
  • Keep abreast of development in design technology, techniques and trends.
Skills required:
  • Architectural / Interior design qualification or relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating experience and talent for commercial, retail and a strong hospitality design focus

The Role:

We seek a talented senior interior designer to join our growing Sydney studio. You will work alongside established design leaders who will support you to further develop your craft and give you room to make an impact.

You will have a passion for and strength as an all-round design professional. The ability to provide leadership to teams and clients, create content and deliver projects from concept through to completion in a highly collaborative and supportive environment.

You will have strong design development and technical design and project delivery with 8-10 years’ experience in the retail and/or workplace sectors.

You will be responsible for:
  • Leading teams and working collaboratively across all project phases from briefing, space planning, concept, with a focus on detail design through to documentation and delivery
  • Planning and preparing developed design and documentation, working through design options and detailing Revit drawings and schedules
  • Leading client and liaising with contractors to ensure the design is translated and realised on site
  • Liaising and coordinating with sub-consultants and suppliers
  • Keep abreast of development in design technology, techniques and trends.
Skills required:
  • Architectural / Interior design qualification or relevant experience

About the role:

We seek a Te Matakīrea Coordinator to provide support and coordination to the Te Matakīrea Lead and the wider team.

You will be responsible for:
  • Providing administrative support to the Te Matakīrea Lead, which includes diary management, travel bookings, taking minutes at meetings, etc
  • Organising meetings, conferences, and events for the overall Te Matakīrea Team
  • Assisting with monitoring and reporting the passive mentorship with potential cultural design managers with the Te Matakīea Lead and Studio Heads of Design
  • Undertaking market research, particularly focused on current and potential clients and partners, and relevant entities we may want to collaborate with.
  • Working closely with Te Matakīrea Lead(s), Marketing, and the boarder Warren and Mahoney team to support activities around submissions and presentations
  • Assisting in the development and updating of Te Matakīrea related print and digital collaterial.
  • Managing and updating the CRM
Skills required:
  • Fluency (or strong proficiency) in te reo Māori is essential.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in marketing or graphic design is preferred.
  • 2+ years relevant experience preferred but not essential.

Dunedin is about to embark on its biggest ever construction project, and Warren and Mahoney is proud to be the lead Architectural Consultant coordinating the project that will transform the Dunedin skyline. The project, The New Dunedin Hospital, is the largest hospital build in New Zealand’s history. The design phase will run until approximately mid-2023. Construction will commence on the Outpatients Building in May 2022 and the larger Inpatients Building one year later.

If you would like to be part of this iconic project, we are seeking talented Architectural Technicians to be based in Dunedin.

Successful candidates will ideally have:
  • A relevant architectural technician qualification is preferred

About the role:

We are looking for a talented Architectural Technician to join our Auckland Studio. This is a great opportunity to take on a lead role, working end to end on commercial projects, in a collaborative environment that is supportive of continued professional development.

Skills required:
  • 7+ years’ experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or experience
  • Worked on high value projects
  • Experience in managing multiple projects
  • Site observation experience preferred
  • Excellent technical skills that transform design ideas to detailed drawings
  • A high level of presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of and ability to deliver work using Revit

  • 0-3 years’ work experience

  • Excellent communication skills as you will be fully involved in projects, contributing your thoughts and ideas
  • Experience using Revit, SketchUp and Rhino would be a plus
