About the role:

We seek a Senior Associate to work with our current leadership team in shaping the future of the overall practice. You will be an expert communicator, strategist and designer with a passion for understanding local cultural contexts, and translating them into spaces that connect people to create a sense of belonging and well being.

You will be working across varying development types, a range of scales and all stages of projects in a team environment. You will partner with our residential team to ensure design excellence, financial health of the project, quality of project documents, team collaboration and communication. This will be a great opportunity to develop our residential sector with the ability to lead the cross-functional design disciplines in developing technical solutions.

Key responsibilities:
  • Prepare documentation for schematic design, design development and construction documents
  • Quality control research for projection and construction methods related to projects
  • Mentor junior team members
Skills required:
  • Professional degree in Architecture and registered with the NSW ARB
  • Understand and have worked in the residential sector with key knowledge of key commercial drivers
  • 7+ years of experience in the local market (NSW/Australia)
  • Strong knowledge of project development and construction processes
  • Good working knowledge of BCA, Australian Standards and Council Codes
  • Eligible to be registered as a Design Practitioner under the Design and Builders Practitioners Act 2020
  • Have excellent client relationship and management skills

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to partner with key leadership supporting Principals and Project Leads through managing, planning, coordinating and organising business-related functions of an architectural project. You will learn and review our practices and processes with a continuous improvement lens and, in conjunction with the Christchurch Operations Manager, implement a strategy to bring best practice project management knowledge and skills to the firm. You will work with a fun, collaborative, supportive team in this role.

You will be responsible for:
  • Overseeing project controls effectiveness and working closely with project leads to create and maintain project plans
  • Scheduling and attending regular project review sessions with the Project Principals / Project Leads
  • Calculating monthly revenue accruals and contributing to discussions around project risk
What experience/skills you’ll have:
  • Proven experience in finance/project management/project accounting, preferably in a large corporate environment
  • Exposure to accrual accounting methodology and a firm understanding of project financial systems would be desirable
  • Good numerical and analytical abilities, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication/influencing skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work with initiative and communicate clear and concise data to cross-functional teams

You will have a passion for and strength in technical design and project delivery with 3-5 years’ experience in medium to large scale Commercial & Workplace.

You will be responsible for:
  • Working collaboratively across all project phases from briefing, space planning, concept, with a focus on detail design through to documentation and delivery
  • Planning and preparing developed design and documentation, working through design options and detailing Revit drawings and schedules
  • Liaising with the client and contractors to ensure the design is translated and realised on site
  • Liaising and coordinating with sub-consultants and suppliers
  • Keep abreast of development in design technology, techniques and trends.
Skills required:
  • Architectural / Interior design qualification or relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably on medium and largescale commercial interiors projects or workplace projects
  • Technical and sustainability skills that transform design ideas to detailed drawings and enable project delivery that is code compliant and integrates sustainability principles.
  • Proficient in Revit, Sketch Up, Photoshop & InDesign skills
  • Confidence being on site and liaising with builders, consultants, and sub-contractors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-directed and ability to confidently solve problems.
  • Project leadership and design management experience will be a bonus.
