This new workplace strengthens the Forsyth Barr brand through a statement fitout with a modern working environment and extraordinary views.

The new Forsyth Barr workplace is located on Level 22 of Data Dimension House, Lambton Quay. The floor is 1000m2, allowing for 53 staff, six client facing meeting rooms and a large client suite that converts into a function space. The floor has panoramic views of Wellington, from the harbour through to the northern hills.

Having previously occupied Level 21 of this building, Forsyth Barr were accustomed to the central location and beautiful views on offer. The new workplace required a reception and client suite that harnessed these views with carefully selected elegant furnishings that compliment the stunning outlook.

The workplace strategy connects teams via both traditional and agile workstyles. Through modern furniture and technology that is adaptable to change, varying work settings can be catered for as needed. This ensures meeting rooms are adaptable and equipped for a range of activities.

The palette focuses on material and form, with natural limestone and curved black timber walls taking centre stage. Colour is introduced through furniture and wall treatments. Deep teals and blues are reflective of the sea views, while the orange and soft pinks seen in the workspace reflect an evening sunset.

Operable walls within the boardroom create a distinctive client experience, with the ability to open the space, and link the room to the client suite via the large sliding door.

The client facing areas create a welcoming client experience, and the high quality interior ensures clients leave with a lasting impression.

The workspace ensures teams are connected and is supported by modern technology for mobile working as needed. This flexibility enables adaptable meeting rooms, equipped for a range of activities.

Forsyth Barr have varying business group requirements, from full confidentiality (visibly and acoustically) through to interactive, noisy teams. This meant that planning the layout and connection between spaces was important. The new layout allows for all team requirements to be met simultaneously whilst still providing the various acoustic requirements.

The new fitout has aligned Forsyth Barr’s workspace with their brand, reflecting their ‘market leader’ status.
