Aspect Furniture Sydney
The new Aspect Furniture Showroom occupies Level 9 of Reid House – a Federation warehouse attic space which has historic significance. It is one of the tallest warehouses in Sydney to use a timber post and beam structure, some of these in Native NZ species
Many of its unique interior and exterior details have been retained and the new components of the scheme have deliberately avoided or, if required, lightly touched the existing fabric of the building.
This attic space houses between 6-8 of Aspect Sydney’s staff and can accommodate more of their team as they travel between their showrooms. The attic is largely open space with furniture settings providing necessary subdivision and privacy as required.
The material palette builds on the existing showroom materiality that Warren and Mahoney and Aspect Furniture developed for their Christchurch, Auckland and Melbourne showrooms also completed by Warren and Mahoney. Several components were prefabricated in New Zealand and shipped in pieces and re-assembled on site.
Aspect Furniture's clients are welcomed into this inviting and functional showroom where they can explore an agile working trial space at leisure.
