
Yi Ting Yau
Senior Associate AucklandYi Ting has 15 years experience as an inventive designer from commercial to public sector buildings. This is supported by her involvement as project architect on the awarded, ‘BCSE Most Inspiring International School 2009’, Haileybury Almaty in Kazakhstan. She was senior architect involved in delivering the award-winning Christchurch Bus Interchange.
Yi Ting’s primary experience lies in the design and delivery of educational, public and office projects. One of her recent projects as a project architect, Whenua Pupuke Clinical Skills Centre for Waitemata DHB at North Shore Hospital, earned a Merit in the PCNZ Health & Medical Property Award this year.
In addition to her role as a designer, she has experience as a BIM manager and plays a fundamental role in the technological delivery of a project. She has advanced skills in BIM (Building Information Modeling) which she uses to establish explorative and innovative design and project delivery methods. Yi Ting applies these processes further to ensure that buildings withstand the climatic and programmatic demands of the site and brief. Her background and experience ensures that her design approach is always creative, holistic and informed.
Yi Ting was appointed Senior Associate in 2019.
