Vajini returned to Warren and Mahoney's Auckland studio in 2021 as a Principal, following 14 years in the United Kingdom. Working for London-based architectural practices Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, Wilkinson Eyre and Foster + Partners, Vajini gained experience across a broad range of sectors including cultural and communities, urban design, commercial, residential, sport and leisure and civic sectors. Vajini’s international experience provides a strong foundation for the role she plays in shaping the architecture of the Pacific region.

Vajini brings excellent design, communication and management skills to her role demonstrating a strong strategic and conceptual approach in early design stages and technical rigor in detail design stages.

Her design ethos puts people and their experiences at the core of the process. She believes a design response should transcend the requirements of the brief to create solutions that impact and improve wider society and the cities they are sited within. Her design process involves interweaving the contextual, social, physical, economic and cultural opportunities of a project to produce highly integrated solutions with strong legibility and clarity of intention.
