Associate Specialist Christchurch

Tim Holmes is a Heritage Specialist and is a registered architect in New Zealand and the UK. He is currently Project Architect working with a team including eminent heritage professionals on the reinstatement of the Christ Church Cathedral. He has been recognised by Christchurch City Council as a Heritage Professional under the district plan and is a member of ICOMOS NZ.

Prior to relocating to Christchurch in 2013, Tim studied in London followed by practice in Guernsey, Channel Islands where much architectural practice involved heritage buildings, covering a wide range of building types of varying scale and complexity.

Tim enjoys designing contemporary buildings and has recent project architect experience on the design of a number of retirement villages; however he finds himself drawn to the rigor and respect required by the restoration, repurposing of and care for historic buildings.
