Ngata joined Warren and Mahoney in 2016, and was made Associate of the practice in 2017.
After 12 years abroad and 18 years of professional experience, Ngata has amassed considerable knowledge in markets as diverse as the Middle East, China, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Ngata has expertise on a range of building typologies including commercial, retail, hospitality, multi-residential, civic and education and has held key roles on a number of award-winning projects. He is a meticulous conceptual designer with a well-rounded technical understanding and he brings a truly international outlook to his practice of architecture.
Ngata also heads Te Matakīrea: The Warren and Mahoney Advanced Māori Design Unit – an ambitious initiative dedicated to exploring the full potential of indigenous architecture in New Zealand.
