In recognition of their contributions to Advanced BIM, Warren and Mahoney Technologies Directors Brad Sara and Jason Howden have been awarded Honorary Research Associate (HRA) positions at Victoria University of Wellington.

Brad and Jason, who collectively form one of the most experienced BIM teams in Australasia, were awarded the titles as part of their supervision of Kimberley Russell, a Masters student at the University’s School of Architecture. Kimberley’s thesis, entitled ‘The Triple Constraint; Identifying successful BIM procurement’, looks at existing procurement methods used in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industries, and analyses how their terms will affect BIM projects and processes. The outcomes of her thesis will provide best-practice methods of procuring projects using BIM.

Kimberley is also the most recent recruit of Warren and Mahoney Technologies (WMT), where she will work part-time during her thesis. Impressed by her knowledge and fresh thinking, Brad and Jason saw a natural fit for the practice, which will complement her studies through offering practical experience in the field.

“We’re delighted to have Kimberley on board, and are looking forward to the ways in which her thesis and findings might influence our work here at WMT and in the industry as a whole”, Brad commented.

Brad and Jason’s Honorary Research Associate positions started last month, and will continue until the 5th of March next year when Kimberley’s thesis ends.
