We are delighted to welcome Thomas Hale to Warren and Mahoney as an Associate Principal and Group Urban Design Leader.

Bringing deep experience in urban design, master-planning and place-making, Thomas will enable Warren and Mahoney to provide specialised expertise – particularly in project origination, strategy and planning.
With two decades of urban design experience, Thomas joins the practice following five-years at HASSELL, and has prior experience leading Woods Bagot’s Urban Design discipline, based in Sydney. He has also worked with Angelo Candalepas & Associates, spent time in the UK with Zaha Hadid Architects, and was the Founding Director of the Urban Land Institute’s Urban Innovations Competition. He remains on the Board of the Urban Land Institute of Sydney District Council.
“Thomas brings a deep understanding of the planning and development frameworks in New South Wales and strong connections into the local market, which is another important step in our Australian and International growth, bringing further market-leading capability to the practice,” says Managing Director John Coop.
“More broadly, Warren and Mahoney’s expertise in urban transformation, precinct planning, and transport infrastructure, coupled with our sustainability and cultural advisory service offerings, provides exciting potential to assist clients with complex and city-shaping projects of scale.”
Based in Sydney, Thomas joins the practice with an enthusiasm for our integrated “One Studio” approach and will bring specialist insight to projects and clients across the group.
