The winners of the awards were announced at a black tie dinner at The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa last night, where seven nominees were recognised.

Katherine Skipper, Principal of Warren and Mahoney’s Wellington studio took out the ‘Judges’ Choice’ Award. This award is in recognition of an individual or team’s innovation and determination to instigate change to the Wellington property industry.

The jury praised Katherine for her strength and effective leadership, and her calm and personable demeanour.

“Most recently, Katherine was Project Principal on the award-winning Wellington International Airport South Terminal Extension, Waihinga Martinborough Community Centre and the new Toi Art Gallery at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. She is currently working with a number of influential clients on some of Wellington’s most significant projects. Katherine is a driver of change and well deserving of this award.”

Nominated by her team in the Wellington studio, Katherine says she is honoured to have received this recognition amongst such a high calibre of nominees.

“I am humbled to accept the Judges’ Choice Award, and thank those in my team who nominated me and supported my nomination. Congratulations also to this year’s award-winners, all of whom have made incredible contributions to their teams, organisations, and the city of Wellington.”
