About the role:

We are looking for an engaging and outgoing Studio Manager for a 12-month contract to become an integral part of our team in our Wellington Studio. This role will encompass premises management, health and safety, support management, executive assistant duties, general office procurement and responsibility for reception and front of house management.

You will be responsible for:
  • Executive assistant duties including travel arrangement, expense management, diary management, organising meeting and conferences, responding to, and writing basic letters on behalf of the Studio Principal and Head of Design
  • Managing the Wellington Studio and ensuring the receptionist and front of house is running efficiently.
  • Managing new employee arrivals, workstations set up and induction process.
  • Responsible for the procurement needs of the Wellington studio.
  • Monitoring external industry events happening and coordinating who attends, along with purchasing tickets or Tables.
  • Managing the monthly invoicing for the studio and understanding project financial systems

Skills required:
  • Have 8-10 years or more experience ideally working in professional services
  • A relevant tertiary qualification, higher school certificate or NZQA level 3 preferred
  • Experience and knowledge working in a construction industry or professional services organisation is highly desirable
  • Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic InDesign software programmes
  • Proven experience of being trustworthy to deal with confidential information
  • Proven experience in compiling statistics with strong numerical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure with conflicting demands
  • Strong communication/influencing skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Have demonstrated initiative and ability to work proactively
  • Be friendly, inclusive and adapt well to different personalities

About the role:

We seek an energetic detail-oriented Projects Business Partner (or an ambitious advisor/coordinator wanting to step up into a business partnering role)

This is an exciting opportunity to partner with key leadership supporting Principals and Project Leads through managing, planning, coordinating and organising business-related functions of an architectural project. You will learn and review our practices and processes with a continuous improvement lens and, in conjunction with the Australian Commercial Director, implement a strategy to bring best practice project management knowledge and skills to the firm. You will work with a fun, collaborative, supportive team in this role.


You will be responsible for:
  • Overseeing project controls effectiveness and working closely with project leads to create and maintain project plans for effective resourcing
  • Supporting the project leads in the management of our projects financial risks,monitoring and advising on project trends and requirements
  • Scheduling and attending regular project review sessions to review projects with Project Principals/Leads
  • Ensuring accurate information regarding time and revenue is associated with the correct phase in the correct project
  • Developing knowledge regarding unique project fee structures and creating of project invoices
  • Forecast updates and cashflow management, including for our sub-consultants.
  • Support the development of best practice project management in our Studios
What experience/skills you will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or other work-related degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 5+ years of finance/project management/project accounting experience preferably in a large corporate
  • Exposure to accrual accounting methodology and a firm understanding of project financial systems
  • Good numerical and analytical abilities, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication/influencing skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work with initiative and communicate clear and concise data to cross functional teams
  • Experience and knowledge working in a construction industry or professional services organisation preferred
