About the role:

We seek an energetic detail-oriented Projects Coordinator (or an ambitious advisor wanting to step up into a business partnering role) for a 12-month fixed-term parental leave cover with our Wellington Studio. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with key leadership supporting Principals and Project Leads through managing, planning, coordinating and organising business-related functions of an architectural project. You will learn and review our practices and processes with a continuous improvement lens and, in conjunction with the Wellington Operations Manager, implement a strategy to bring best practice project management knowledge and skills to the firm. You will work with a fun, collaborative, supportive team in this role.

You will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing project controls effectiveness and work closely with project leads to create and maintain project plans
  • Managing the project’s financial risks including monitoring and advising on project resourcing trends and requirements
  • Monthly collation and timesheets for projects both completed and in-progress
  • Scheduling and attending regular project review sessions to review projects with Project Principals/Leads
  • Ensuring accurate information regarding time and revenue is associated with the correct phase in the correct project
  • Developing knowledge regarding unique project fee structures and creating of project invoices

What experience/skills you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or other work-related degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 5+ years of finance/project management/project accounting experience preferably in a large corporate
  • Exposure to accrual accounting methodology and a firm understanding of project financial systems
  • Good numerical and analytical abilities, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication/influencing skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About the role:

We seek an enthusiastic and motivated Urban Designer who is looking to work with an award winning, multi-disciplinary team in Sydney

You will be responsible for:
  • Providing clients with site optimization options and contributing to strategic facility planning
  • Reviewing, understanding and articulating strategic and statutory requirements for urban design projects
  • Preparation of design reports and managing design support services for detailing and refining of design work in conformity with original design intent
What experiences/skills you will have:
  • A postgraduate qualification in Urban Design or Urban Planning with an undergraduate qualification in architecture, landscape architecture or planning, ideally with professional registration within one or more of these disciplines
  • 5+ years’ experience in urban design and related fields
  • A firm understanding of government strategy and policy as well as infrastructure and building systems
  • Proficiency in Revit, Rhino and Adobe suite
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders
  • A high level of presentation and communication skills

About the role:

Seeking a senior level IT professional who is passionate about innovating, providing leadership and management of information technology services to meet the changing needs of a growing business across New Zealand and Australia.

This role can be based in any of our offices in New Zealand or Australia.

You will be responsible for:
  • Managing and directing the activities of Warren and Mahoney’s ICT systems and processes as well as providing leadership to the ICT team
  • Taking a lead role in formulating our design technology
  • Carrying out strategic planning and ensuring that current and projected user requirements are met
  • Ensuring that practice information is secure, and the processing of data and development of new and improved services is prompt and accurate
  • Continuously seeking opportunities for ICT improvements
  • Managing ICT budgets and expenditure
What experience/skills you will have:
  • A formal tertiary qualification in IT, IT systems, Computer Programming or similar course
  • Experience operating as a senior technology processional ideally in an architecture, engineering or other professional services environment
  • A demonstrated ability to run, maintain and install an ICT network consisting of a complex range of hardware, systems software and user applications
  • Management experience including leadership and experience reporting to senior management and developing and implementing strategy

About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic Personal Assistant to provide administrative support to selected Principals, based in Auckland. This is a fantastic opportunity working alongside a talented team of architects and designers in a creative studio setting.

You will be responsible for:
  • Providing administrative support to selected Principals including managing diaries, travel arrangements and timesheets
  • Creating and maintaining client records and supporting the Principals’ with maintaining client networks
  • Providing project support including liaising with Accounting and Operations around the creation, maintenance and archiving of project records
  • Providing reception back-up and support to other Senior staff
  • Managing Client and Consultant agreements
What experience/skills you will have:
  • 3 years minimum administration experience as an administrator/PA
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective communicator at all levels
  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritise

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations/Practice Manager for a newly created role to support our Wellington Studio. This a permanent part-time role and a perfect opportunity for someone looking to work for 20 to 25 hours a week over 5 days.

You will bring strong stakeholder skills working closely with our Studio Principals, COO and other key stakeholders regarding the financial management of architectural projects. You should be ready to mentor your team members and support Wellington project leads to manage project performance to maximise project profitability

You will be responsible for:
  • The reviewing of and preparation of rolling forecast for the Wellington studio
  • Undertaking project profitability reviews and being directly responsible to the practice for implementing, monitoring and reporting findings
  • Providing assistance, analysis and recommendations to Principals in relation to project fees, client/consultant agreements and programmes
  • Working with Principals to prepare fees in line with the scope of projects and ensuring that fees and assumptions are accurate
  • Managing the Project Administrators and Business Partners in project management that includes planning, reporting, invoicing, revenue forecasting and consultant fee splitting
  • Providing support to the Project Principals in managing costs against project fees, programs and deliverables
  • Developing scope matrices to allocate tasks, deliverables and fee splits between consultants
What experience/skills you will have:
  • 10+ years’ experience of finance/project management and project accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or other work-related degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management
  • Experience and knowledge working in construction industry or professional services organisation preferred
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting and familiar with business and financial principles

About the role:

We are seeking an established Landscape Architects to join our team. Working closely with the Group Landscape Architecture Lead, you will work collaboratively with a highly engaged team to collectively lead and develop the design and delivery of exceptional urban spaces and landscapes.

You will be challenged and supported to learn and develop as a landscape architect working alongside industry leading design professionals. What experience/skills you will have:
  • A Bachelor Degree (Hons) or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • At least 8+ years’ professional experience in Landscape Architecture, recognised by clients and collaborators for strong design and professional leadership
  • Excellent graphic skills with experience in the use of a range of digital tools and techniques, including Adobe Creative Cloud, SketchUp, REVIT, as well as hand drawing.
  • A belief in collaboration and the value of diversity of experience in shaping authentic places.
  • A passion for the design of regenerative landscapes and the public realm
  • A creative and curious mindset with an ability to think both spatially and laterally.
  • Strong attention to detail and aptitude for the technical and technology
  • Experience in leading and managing the design and delivery of landscape and public realm projects from concept through to construction documentation.
  • Ability to coach and mentor other team members and proven experience in helping shape the design culture of a landscape team.
  • A design led approach to problem-solving that seeks opportunity and innovation when challenged..
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Are a member of the NZ Institute of Landscape Architects and have an interest in achieving NZILA registration (if you’ve not already done so).
